Nameplate & Indicator

On this page, you will find how to move the name of an NPC and show a symbol above it.

circle-info

Every option on this page is saved to the NPC's own file in the npcs folder.

With PhoenixHolograms installed, names and indicators are drawn by it and accept its text tokens, such as {anim:...}. See Nameplate Engine.

#Nameplate Height

Moves the name up or down, in blocks, from -5 to 5. The name already sits above the NPC's head and follows its size, so this is only needed for models or poses where it does not fit.

#Indicator

A symbol shown above the name, such as &e&l! for a quest giver. Color codes work, and \n starts a new line. Leave it empty for none.

#Indicator Condition

Shows the indicator only to players who pass the condition, checked again every second. Leave it empty to show it to everyone.

#Conditions

Conditions are used by the indicator and by the [CONDITION] action.

Condition Passes when
permission:<node> The player has the permission.
!permission:<node> The player does not have the permission.
<left> <operator> <right> The comparison is true. Both sides can be placeholders.
%placeholder% The placeholder gives true or yes.
Operator Compares
>, <, >=, <= Numbers. Text never passes.
=, ==, equals Equal numbers, or equal text ignoring case.
!= The opposite of =.
contains The left text holds the right text, ignoring case.

For example %player_level% >= 10 or %vault_rank% equals vip.
