A shop checks its own currency before it opens, and says what is wrong instead of opening a menu where nothing can be clicked.

|---|---|
| cannot open: it is priced in ... | The plugin behind the shop's currency is not installed, such as Vault for money. Install it and run /pshop reload, or pick another currency for the shop. |
| is priced in ..., which is not a currency this plugin knows | The currency named in the shop file does not exist, often a typo or an ExcellentEconomy currency that was removed. |
| is turned off | The shop is disabled. |
| You don't have permission to do that | The shop has a permission and the player does not have it. |
On start, the console also lists every currency whose plugin is missing, with the plugin to install.
The default shop is priced in money, which needs Vault and an economy plugin such as EssentialsX. See Do I need Vault?
