Price modifiers are part of the Sell Boosters add-on and saved in its config.yml. Without the add-on, every player pays normal prices.
Each group pairs a permission with a buy and a sell percent, applied in every shop. The groups are set under Editor > Sell Boosters > Price Modifiers.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Identifier | The group's name. |
| Permission | The permission that puts a player in the group. An empty permission applies to nobody. |
| Buy Percent | The share of the buy price the group pays, from 1 to 1000. 90% is a 10% discount. |
| Sell Percent | The share of the sell price the group is paid, from 1 to 1000. 110% pays 10% more. |
A new group is named group_N, with the permission phoenixshop.modifier.group_N, at 100% buy and 100% sell.
A player in several groups gets the lowest buy percent and the highest sell percent among them, which may come from different groups. A player in none pays normal prices.
The permission only counts when it is set on the player, directly or through a group in your permissions plugin. Being OP does not give it.
Groups still in the main plugin's config.yml from an older version are moved into the add-on's config.yml the first time the add-on starts.
The modified price is what the player is actually charged or paid, from the shop menus, /sell, the sell menu, AutoSell and sign shops. It is also the price shown in the category lore, the buy and sell menus, the bulk menus, the sell menu's worth, the search results and the Bedrock forms.
Category and shop sales apply on top of the modifier.
Admin sign text is the same for everyone, so it keeps showing the normal price. A sign click that fills the inventory still buys as many as the player can afford at their own price.
Boosters and permission boosters multiply on top of the modifier: a 110% sell percent and a 2x booster pay 2.2 times the sell price. The sell menu's worth shows the modified price without the booster.
When a player's buy price is lowered or sell price raised, the price placeholders in the menus show the normal price struck through next to the new one. The look is the price.discounted-buy and price.discounted-sell translations: the new price is red when buying and green when selling.
en:
price:
discounted-buy: "&8&m%base%&c %price%"
discounted-sell: "&8&m%base%&a %price%"
Bedrock forms show only the new price.
To place the normal price yourself, the menus also have a _base version of each price placeholder:
| Placeholder | Menus |
|---|---|
| %buy_price_base%, %sell_price_base% | Category, Search |
| %price_base%, %unit_price_base% | Buy, Sell |
| %price_base% | Bulk Buy, Bulk Sell |
price-modifiers:
vip:
permission: phoenixshop.modifier.vip
buy: 0.9
sell: 1.1
buy and sell are multipliers, so 0.9 is a 10% discount and 1.1 pays 10% more. The editor shows them as percents.
Imports from ShopGUI+ bring its global price modifiers across as groups, keeping their shopguiplus.pricemodifiers.<id> permission. Imports from EconomyShopGUI do the same for its discounts and sell multipliers under all. Without the add-on, they are left out and counted in the import report.
