⚙️ Wands

On this page, you will find how sell wands work and how to configure them.

#Using a wand

Hold the wand in the main hand and right-click one of the listed containers. Everything in it that the shop buys is sold in one go and the player is told what they earned.

Case	Result
Nothing in the container sells	No use is spent.
A region plugin blocks opening the container	The wand does nothing, so it cannot sell out of someone else's protected chest.
The container is not in the list	The click works as a normal right-click.

The items pass through the player's inventory on their way to the shop, so a player with a full inventory cannot sell and is told so.

#Uses

Every right-click that sells something spends one use, and the uses left are shown in the wand's lore. A wand on its last use is gone once used. A wand with -1 uses never runs out.

Wands are recognised by a hidden tag, not by their name or material, so renaming one in an anvil does not stop it working.

#Settings

Everything below is set in addons/SellWands/config.yml. The add-on has no editor.

shop: shop
uses: 50
containers:
  - CHEST
  - TRAPPED_CHEST
  - BARREL
  - SHULKER_BOX
wand:
  material: BLAZE_ROD
  display-name: '&6Sell Wand'
  lore:
    - '&7Right-click a container to sell'
    - '&7everything inside it.'
    - ''
    - '&fUses Left: &e%uses%'
  unlimited-label: '&aUnlimited'

Option	What it does
`shop`	The identifier of the shop every wand sells into.
`uses`	The uses of a new wand when `/sellwand give` is run without a number. `-1` for unlimited.
`containers`	The blocks the wand works on. `SHULKER_BOX` covers every dyed shulker box as well.
`wand.material`	The item the wand is made of.
`wand.display-name`	The name of the wand.
`wand.lore`	The lore of the wand. `%uses%` shows the uses left.
`wand.unlimited-label`	What `%uses%` shows on a wand that never runs out.

A change to the look applies to new wands, and to an existing wand the next time it is used.
