#Overview

Bedrock players joining through Geyser get the main player menus as native Bedrock forms instead of chest menus. Forms need Floodgate or Geyser to be installed on the same server as the plugin. Without either, everyone gets the chest menus.

Menus without a form stay chest menus. On those, a button with several click actions asks Bedrock players which one they want, since Bedrock has no shift-click or right-click on touch and controller. Every text prompt, such as the money wager, opens as a form text field.

Please note: This guide will not cover the installation process of Geyser itself. Refer to the Geyser wiki for comprehensive installation instructions: Geyser Wiki Setup

#How the Forms Work

Menu Bedrock form
Queue A button for unranked and ranked.
Player mode A button per team size, solo to quad.
Arena mode A button per category and mode, showing the queued and playing players.
Duel creation One form with the mode, the map, the rounds, item betting, the money wager and external spectators.
Duel mode and map selection A button per category, mode or map, with Random first.
Player settings A toggle for duel requests and one for party requests.
Stats The stats as text.
Ongoing matches A button per match, showing its players.
Spectator teleport A button per player in the match.
Party A button to create a party.
Confirmation A confirm and a cancel button.

Add-ons that bring player menus use the same settings:

Add-on Menu Bedrock form
Elo Ranks Ranks Every rank as text.
Lobby Items Player interaction A duel and a party invitation button.
Player Kits Your player kits A button per kit, then a choice to select or edit it.
Public Parties Party Create a party and join parties.
Public Parties Browser A button per party, plus sorting and hide full parties.
Public Parties Banned players A button per banned player, which asks before unbanning.
Public FFA Arena selector A button per arena, showing its players.
Public FFA Bounties The bounties as text.
Public FFA Confirmation A confirm and a cancel button.

Public FFA reads its form text from the bedrock section of its own translations file.

Buttons use the names set in the menu files, with colors kept and hex colors removed, since forms cannot show them. Button actions still run, and any extra button you added to one of these menus with an action shows up in its form. The text around them, such as the back button, comes from the bedrock section of the translations file.

Kit previews, the kit editor, the player kit item editor, item betting, lost items, the leaderboard and the party management menus stay chest menus.

If a form cannot be sent, the player gets the chest menu instead and the console says so.

#Forms

Turns Bedrock forms on or off for the whole server. When off, Bedrock players get the chest menus like everyone else.

#Input Modes

Limits forms to Bedrock players on certain devices, by their input mode: TOUCH, CONTROLLER, KEYBOARD_MOUSE or VR. Players on any other input get chest menus. Leave the list empty to give forms to every Bedrock player.

YAML
bedrock:
  input-modes:
  - TOUCH
  - CONTROLLER

#Allow Opt Out

Lets Bedrock players choose chest menus for themselves. The queue, stats, ongoing matches and party forms, and the ranks, player interaction, player kits and FFA arena forms of the add-ons, get a button to switch to chest menus, and /pduels forms switches between the two. The choice is remembered per player. When this is off, every Bedrock player gets forms and the command is refused.

#Resize Chest Menus

Bedrock only draws chest menus of 3 or 6 rows cleanly. With this on, a menu of 1 or 2 rows is opened with 3 rows and a menu of 4 or 5 rows with 6, for Bedrock players who get chest menus. Java players always see the rows the menu is set to. Menus that use your own inventory, such as the kit editor and item betting, keep their size.

#Icons

Adds an icon to form buttons.

  • enabled - Turns icons on or off.
  • fallback-url - An image URL for materials the built-in icon table does not know. %material% is replaced by the material name in lower case. Leave it empty for no icon.
  • head-url - An image URL for player heads. %texture% is replaced by the head's texture id, or the owner's name when it has no texture. Leave it empty for no head icons.

Vanilla items use the Bedrock texture of the same item, which every Bedrock client already has. Items with custom model data or an item model get no icon, since their texture only exists in a resource pack. Player heads always use the head URL.
