📖 Statistics

On this page, you will find information about the statistics.

#Your Stats

You can check your stats by clicking the item frame in your hotbar or using the /stats command. This will show all your statistics for unranked, ranked, and challenge modes.

#Leaderboard

The leaderboard lets you view the top players in unranked or ranked modes for a specific time period. You can filter by kills, deaths, wins, losses, and Elo. For a more customized leaderboard, use the PlaceholderAPI placeholders provided by the plugin.

Leaderboards are cached rather than queried on every lookup. How often they refresh is set by leaderboard-fetch-interval in the main configuration, which is the setting to lower if a hologram feels out of date, and to raise if the queries are heavy.

#Match History

Every finished match is always recorded to a player's match history, no matter what other settings are configured. Use /duelhistory to browse your own history, or /duelhistory <user> to browse someone else's.

From the history list, each match entry is interactive:

  • Left-Click - watches that match's video replay, if one was recorded.
  • Right-Click - opens the Recap: a read-only snapshot of that player's inventory, armor, health, and potion effects at the exact moment the match ended.

#Match Replays

Separately from match history stats, Phoenix Duels can record a video-style replay of a match that anyone can watch afterwards from the history list. This is a Premium feature and needs the free BetterReplay plugin installed. Without it, recording stays off while match history and recaps keep working normally.

#Settings

Match Recording turns recording on and off for the whole server.

Retention is how many days a recording is kept, seven by default. A daily sweep deletes anything older and clears the replay from the match history entry it belonged to, so the entry stays in the history with only its recap left.

Maximum Match Length caps how long a single recording can run, thirty minutes by default. A match that goes past it keeps playing normally; only the recording stops.

All three live in replay.yml:

enabled: true
retention-days: 7
max-match-length-minutes: 30

#Watching a Replay

Replays play back in the real arena, at the coordinates the match was recorded in, because BetterReplay has no separate world to stage them in. Two things follow from that.

The arena instance is reserved for the whole time somebody is watching, exactly as a live match reserves it, so nobody gets dropped into a duel on top of the viewer. If the arena is already busy when a player tries to watch, playback is refused rather than queued.

A viewer therefore takes an arena out of circulation. On a map with a single instance this is noticeable at peak hours, so it is worth pairing replays with a map that has several arenas.

Watching is gated behind phoenixduels.replay.watch.
