feature_toggles.yml switches off individual behaviours of the plugin that most servers want, but some do not. Every option is a disable switch, so false means the behaviour stays on, which is the default for all of them.
The same options are available in the editor, under Settings > Feature Toggling.
disable-player-freeze: false
disable-leather-armor-coloring: false
disable-vanilla-stat-tracking: false
disable-invitations-in-match: false
disable-arena-knockback: false
Players are normally frozen in place during the pre-fight countdown so neither side can reposition before the fight starts. Set disable-player-freeze to true to let them move freely while the countdown runs.
Leather armor handed out by a kit is normally dyed to match the team colour, so teams are easy to tell apart. Set disable-leather-armor-coloring to true to keep the armor exactly as the kit defines it.
Kills and deaths inside a duel normally count toward the player's vanilla Minecraft statistics as well as the plugin's own. Set disable-vanilla-stat-tracking to true to keep duels out of the vanilla statistics screen and out of anything else reading them, such as an advancement or a scoreboard objective.
This option requires a 1.12.2+ server.
Set disable-invitations-in-match to true to stop players receiving duel invitations while they are already fighting, so a pop-up never lands mid-fight.
Players who reach the edge of the battle region are normally pushed back in, which keeps a fight inside the arena without walls. Set disable-arena-knockback to true to remove that push. Do this only if your arena is physically enclosed, otherwise players can walk out of the fight.
